    1. When I try to enter the public domain SpeechWeb, I get an error message

The public domain SpeechWeb uses XML pages, so you need a browser that can interpret XML pages. Currently, Microsoft IE or Mozilla Firefox cannot interpret XML and the 9.50 version of the Opera browser is not compatible. However, the Opera 9.27 browser, which is freely available, can read and interpret XML pages. Therefore, you should Install Opera 9.27.

    2. I don't have the opera browser

Steps to install Opera 9.27 in your Windows system (Note that Opera 9.50 is not compatible):

    1. Go to the download page at Opera 9.27 for Windows Download
    2. Click on 'Download Opera' button to download it
    3. Double click on the Opera installation file you downloaded
    4. The welcome screen tells you that: "You are about to install Opera". Press "Next >"
    5. Accept the software license agreement. Press "I Accept"
    6. Install Opera in the suggested directory. Press "Next >"
    7. Create icons and shortcuts. Press "Next >"
    8. The information is complete and the installation will begin. Press "Install" (Files are copied to your hard drive)
    9. Opera can start automatically after installation. Press "Finish"

If you have any trouble to install Opera 9.27 on your Windows system, please go to Opera Forum
